Farmers Taste Ltd is committed to produce and supply high quality fresh chicken eggs in shell that are fit and safe for human consumption. We are also committed to achieve continuous customer satisfaction as well as meeting the contractual requirements. This shall be achieved through fulfilling applicable regulatory requirements, continual improvement in hygiene, process control, maintaining good equipment and most of all training our workforce to achieve it all.

FARMERS TASTE LTD has been in operation since 2018. It has been founded by a group of highly motivated people with years of experience in various aspects of poultry rearing between them.

Commercial Layer: The 150 acre farm in Luweero, Uganda, comprises the poultry commercial layer farming facilities of brooding, growing and laying, all in environment controlled micro climate sheds for a bird population of 1,000,000. Support structures include an administrative block, sanitary facilities and accommodation quarters all enclosed in a well secure facility.

Commercial Breeder/ Hatchery: The 45 acre farms house the Broiler Breeder farming facilities of brooding, growing and laying, all in environment controlled micro-climate sheds for a bird population of 40,000 with plans to expand the capacity in the future and present production capcity is 200,000 chicks/week.

Commercial Broiler: The broiler farms with a total acreage of 70 acres are situated all over Rwanda producing fresh, high quality chicken. An Abattoir with a capacity of processing up to 16,000 birds per day is located in Kuchikiro District. The current bird population is 270,000 with plans of expanding to 600,000 in the near future.

Commercial Poultry Feed: We have a mash feed mill of capacity 20 tons/hour and a pellet feed mill of 7 tons/ hour capacity. Our silos can store 8,000 tons of Feed in Kuchikiro District. Our Feeds are formulated under the supervision of technical vets at our lab facility.

Ethical Rearing of Chickens

We are committed to the ethical and responsible rearing of our chickens, guided by best-practice animal welfare standards and sustainable farming principles. Our birds are raised in clean, well-ventilated environments with adequate space to move freely, access to nutritious, carefully formulated feed, and continuous access to clean water. We implement strict biosecurity and veterinary health programs to ensure disease prevention without the overuse of antibiotics, prioritizing natural growth and overall wellbeing. From day-old chick placement to processing, every stage of our operation is monitored to ensure humane handling, minimal stress, and full traceability delivering high quality poultry products that are safe, wholesome, and ethically produced.
